FAQ'S
How far in advance of our wedding should we contact you?
The sooner the better for best date availability. Generally no later than 6-8 weeks prior to your big day for actual planning purposes!
Since I am delivering a one-of-a-kind experience it is important that we have time to meet, organize your ceremony details and develop your wedding script with enough time for you to review and make changes.
What happens if my venue doesn't allow a rehearsal?
If your venue does not allow a rehearsal onsite I will go to an agreeable location.
I ALWAYS recommend a rehearsal because a rehearsal makes the wedding party feel more comfortable with all of the moving parts like where to stand, who processes down the aisle first, etc...
Most importantly it puts YOU, the couple at ease knowing that no matter what your wedding day brings, you can lessen any stress or anxiety about the ceremony.
What kind of credentials or training do you hold?
I am authorized to legally perform wedding ceremonies in most states in the US through American Marriage Ministries and the Universal Life Church. This gives me the authority to say "By the Power invested in me by the state of _____"
I have over 20+ course hours of officiant training through UnBoring! Wedding Academy Pro. I have served over 15 years as a Catholic church music director using the "Together for Life" planning tools for wedding mass celebrations.
How do we know if you have our date open?
When you book your compatibility check you will enter your wedding date and I will confirm availability prior to our meeting.
What if your sick on the day of the wedding?
This has never happened but fortunately I have list of several licensed and experienced colleagues in the area who I can have stand in my place and delivery a great ceremony. Our planning stage would already be done, the script and your love story written, so they could step in seamlessly with what you and I have created together.
How does Payment work?
After we meet and you decide to book me, I will send you a link for payment . A 50% booking deposit is required as a retainer. The balance is due 2 weeks prior to your wedding day.
